Benjamin Schulman, born in Puerto Rico in 1972,
currently lives in Springfield, MO, where he is an Assistant Professor
of Art and Art History at Drury University. He received his B.F.A.
from The Pennsylvania State University in 1996 and his M.F.A.
from Tyler School of Art of Temple University in 1999.
Schulman has exhibited his work throughout the world in both
group and solo exhibitions. These include solo exhibitions in
Seoul, South Korea, New York, NY, and Wilmington, DE. He has also
been included in numerous group exhibitions in Stockton, CA, San
Angelo, TX and Philadelphia, PA.
He has been an Artist-in-Resident at The Archie Bray Foundation
for the Ceramic Arts in Helena, MT and at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia,
PA. At the latter, he was the recipient of the Evelyn Shapiro
Foundation Fellowship. He has had numerous other experiences in
the field of ceramics, including time spent as a Visiting Professor
of Art at Kyung Hee University in South Korea for one year.
